Caution: This is a huge post with lots of pictures. Read if you dare!
So Australia Day weekend was absolutely crazy, but so much fun! Australia Day is January 26th, which happened to land on a Monday this year, so I had a 4 day weekend to myself! Woo hoo!!
So like the caution above, I took a lot of photos… And I will put a quick blab with each section of what was going on, but a photo says a thousand words!
I’m not even going to write anything. There were no words for how absolutely amazing the fireworks were this year, just long shouts and screams and “wows” from the entire crowd in Waverton watching the fireworks with us. The kids were excited, the adults were excited, and I was over the moon!
So now, without further a-do, the photos! (I took about 400, but I’ll only add the ones I deem worthy).
The Great Ocean Road is absolutely gorgeous and you should go see it right now.
Stumbling past the pushing bustling busy people at the Sydney Opera House, all posing to take selfies with the House, I see a break in the crowd. I make a run for it, almost tripping over a group of Japanese tourists who stopped in front of me to take yet more photos, and come to a gateway. Less people. I can breathe again. I wander through the gate, and like Alice in Wonderland is transported into a different world.
I went from the bustling city of Sydney into a tranquil Garden, and I seemed to be the only one there.
Brussels – the capital of Belgium. Actually, when I first moved to Belgium it was one of my least favourite places there. I thought it was dirty and cliche and full of tourists.
